2021 youth season cancelled

As the province rolls out their vaccination plan and optimism and excitement gains momentum within our society to move towards social activities in the coming months, the province has not lifted the restriction on indoor activities and does not plan to do so in the coming weeks. As COVID-19 numbers are still a concern and hospital numbers are on the rise, the North Shore Inline Hockey League has made the difficult decision to cancel the youth 2021 spring season. This is a decision that has not been made lightly by the board, but we feel it is in the best interest for the safety and well-being of our members.

As previously stated we will be issuing full refunds for the 2021 youth league. However, given that The North Shore Inline Hockey league is a non-profit organization, as an alternative, you have the option to carry over your current registration fee to the 2022 season. If you choose to do this it would help minimize our costs, but there is no obligation. Please email registrar@nsihl.com before Friday, May 7th if you would like to carry-over your payment to next season, otherwise you will be provided a full refund that will roll out over the next two weeks.

On a personal note, I assure you this was a very difficult decision. Inline is an extremely large part of my life as well as my family’s and to have the season cancelled for the second consecutive year is a huge disappointment. However, I know that we are making the right decision. It was one we all made with our players, their families, and their friends’ safety as our top priority. If you have questions or concerns please reach out to me at any time. We look forward to hitting the floor again next season, and wish you all a happy and safe summer.
